The Company

While breeding, training and competing with so many dogs over the years, Ceri Rundle and her father Glyn Jones have continuously been on the look out for an affordable, top quality dog food but found little or no success.

They quickly learned that the 'less expensive' options proved to be a case of false economy with the dogs generally losing condition, lacking stamina for work and generating plenty to clean up. While the premium quality rations were beyond their price range.

This eventually led them to a major decision : To develop their own range of dog foods - CSJ.

ceri rundle with her working sheepdogsCeri's CV in the dog world is without doubt second to none. Her achievements are well documented and include being the very first lady to appear on the BBC2 TV series 'One Man & His Dog'. Ceri was also the first lady to represent Wales in the first Young Handlers competition held at the Supreme International Championships at Armathwaite in 1980.

Later Ceri went on to become the first lady to qualify for the Welsh National Team with her homebred dog, Bwlch Hemp, followed by her election on to the Panel of National Judges for Wales, another first. She has also been appointed to the Chair of the North Wales Sheepdog Society.

Ceri now spends most of her time promoting her specialist canine feeds, her training clinics (sometimes run in partnership with her father) plus travelling extensively overseas to judge trials and promote her business interests.

On top of that, Ceri still finds time to train and trial her young dogs and continues to develop her famous Moel line of Border Collies (a continuation of her parents famous 'Bwlch' line) which are exported all over the world.

glyn jonesGlyn is a former International Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champion with his dog Gel and Reserve Supreme Champion with the famous homebred Bwlch Taff and five times winner of the Brace Competition on the BBC2 TV series, One Man & His Dog' with his dogs Gel and Bwlch Bracken.

Glyn has produced three training videos 'Come bye and Away', 'That'll Do' and 'Take Time' and co wrote the training book that many regard as the 'Bible' of the dog world 'A Way of Life' which up to now has been translated into 5 languages. See our books & videos page for more information.

He has travelled extensively all over the world to judge and hold training clinics and still regularly competes in trials - usually against Ceri!

The 'Bwlch ' line of breeding was started by Glyn with his wife Beryl in the early '60's and is now into its 7th generation with many of the breed regularly appearing in the pedigrees of the present day champions. For example home bred, Bwlch Ceri, Champion of France twice and Bwlch Jill, Continental Champion in 1997 and third in last year's European championships.

" 'Jack' is a beautiful red staffordshire bull terrier who was bred by myself from show stock. Unfortunately he hated the show ring and so I decided to try obediance ,which he also hated. However,he really took to agility and will do agility all day and every day if I let him!
Two problems emerged.
1.Keeping weight on -I could not get enough food into him.
2.He became allergic to Gluten/Wheat.(several shows were missed due to him being poorly and dropping even more weight)

I tried several different gluten free feeds and they were expensive.
His allergy was sorted, however I still had the problem of keeping his weight on.
I came across your feed at an agilty show and purchased a couple of
bags of Lamb and Rice gluten /wheat free. Now Jack has a healthy diet that keeps him trouble free.He needs far less food and his weight stays on.He has the energy he needs for his training and shows. As an extra bonus he has alovely shiny coat ,something hard to get with his color coat.( I know as I am a show judge-reds never shine the same as blacks)."
