Kris Kingsley
Kris’s most memorable success is Davidson (Ch Dainoak Veni Vidi Vici) winning his Championship title in December of 1999 – making him the last Great Dane Champion of last century, and from the first Harlequin litter she ever bred.
Other memorable moments
- Zimbro (Int Ch Dainoak Diplomat) going Reserve World Champion in the early 90’s from Kris’s first ever litter
- Zimbro (Int Ch Dainoak Diplomat) winning 3 Best In Shows at all breed International Championship shows
- Domino (Dainoak Amor Vincit Omnia) gaining Reserve World Champion in 2002
How it started..
Kris has always loved dogs and Great Danes in particular since being a little girl. She bought her first Great Dane to show and hoped to breed from in 1987. Known as Altesam Rhythm N’ Blues, she was known as Trubble at home and Kris says, “She certainly lived up to it, fortunately I’ve never had another one as naughty since!”
The current kennel
The current kennel is eight Great Danes, ranging from ten years down to six months, and one Italian Spinone of just one year old.
Kris’s prefix ‘Dianoak’ is “From little acorns and all that.”

Both Vinnie and Hagar have managed to get themselves invited to attend the South Western Great Dane Club - Top Twelve 'League finals' - as both are in the Top 12 Finalists (compiled independently from wins gained during the year from October 2007 to October 2008) - they have only been shown
since May as were too young before then.

“I have owned, bred and shown dogs for over 20 years, and with the colours of Danes I specialise in i.e. Blues, Blacks and Harlequins – the coat is the most obvious sign of good nutrition – as these colours look dreadful if the food doesn’t suit – and my dogs coats gleam! In addition, it is a difficult thing to rear a giant breed – they need to be grown correctly and slowly to build optimum bone density, and the CP 27 food is absolutely brilliant at bringing the growth on slowly and allowing them to have body whilst growing – certainly helps in the show ring.”

Oldest BVIS wins - with a little help from CSJ!
Hi Ceri, just to let CSJ know I have3 border collies who compete in obedience. My old lady at 13 is now retired from obedience but has found a 2nd career winning veteran classes in the breed ring! Yesterday she won the open BC class then won the AV Pastoral Veteran class and then went on to take Best Veteran In Show, not bad for an old lady who was giving about 3-4 years to the other veteran group winners.
I had a hard job to convince several people ring side that she was 13 no one could believe she was more than the min veteran age of 7 and I was told by the chairman of the club that she was the oldest BVIS they had every had.
So many thanks CSJ for keeping my old lady fit and healthy and letting her start a new career!!
Regards
Eleanor and Ringslade Molly Malone at Shamorel aka Tess
