Shane Price and Emma Gates

“CSJ food?  Fantastic food promoting fit and healthy dogs,

making champions in every field!!”  Emma Gates

After owning various breeds since 1985, Emma and Shane have had huge success in both show and working disciplines since deciding to step into the show ring with an Alaskan Malamute in 2010.

They own 5 Alaskan Malamutes and 1 Samoyed ….

Savanna - Reina de las Nieves de Lunartico WPD

Leo - Snowallen Thor de Lunartico ShCM WPD

G-Wolf - Multi BIS Gwolf de Lunartico (Imp Esp) ShCM WPD/WPDA / AWPD (B),(S)

Galaxy - JCh Bel Icewolf Strike a Pose de Lunartico WPD

Bonita - RBPIS Neskyla Perfect Storm de Lunartico

Ivan - Multi BPIS / RBPIS Rosskaja Russian Roulette de Lunartico

Shane and Emma’s biggest or most memorable success is impossible to choose as there are SO many – too many to list - but Emma says the ones that really stick out are:

  • Galaxy on the podium at her first international show and later gaining 3 x JCAC's and being crowned Junior Champion of Belgium
  • Savanna completing her first American working title Working Pack Dog
  • Leo gaining his Show Certificate of Merit and his Studbook number giving him lifetime Crufts Qualification
  • G-Wolf winning multiple Best in Shows and CAC's in France and gaining his Show Certificate of Merit
  • Bonita winning Reserve Best puppy in Show and winning numerous groups and stakes classes
  • Ivan - Best puppy in breed and getting shortlisted in the ring of honor at the 90th international show Luxembourg. 2 Best puppy in show, 4 reserve best puppy in show, and group 3 at Working & pastoral breeds of Wales Champ Show.

Other stand-out successes include gaining 7 working titles and raising over £1000 for the Help for Heroes charity!

When not showing and gaining working qualifications?

Emma is a committee member at two canine societies and she and Shane have attended several courses and seminars including Canine First Aid, Legal Aspects of Dog Ownership, Showing and Handling Masterclass, and several kennel club seminars on Conformation Judging.

Emma says……..

“Although we don't sell CSJ products we regularly actively promote CSJ and often give out samples to anyone inquiring what our dogs are fed on. We have sent many happy customers from the UK and Europe to CSJ!”

Shane, Emma and the Lunarticos continued winning in 2016 and 2017 and then………

Norwegian Forest Cat (Thor) joined the winning team!

Below - see the photos of Thor as a small kitten snuggling up to Ivan and Thor at 10 months old with his first Grand Premier Certificate!!

Thor’s winning ways…

At the Supreme Cat Show 2017 Thor - Pr Noynarock Nordic Warrior - at just 10 months old won his class and was also awarded his first Grand Premier Certificate plus placed highly and received a Highly Commended certificate in the Any Variety Tabby class out of 68entries.

He went on winning and in September 2018 the Norwegian Forest Cat Club confirmed him as the number one male kitten and overall top kitten for 2017 plus 3rd top male neuter for 2017 – after only 5 shows as an adult.

Exciting times in 2018!

Emma and Shane had an amazing 2 days showing at the end of June, day one in Belgium and day 2 in Poland…

Galaxy finished her Belgian championship gaining title number 16, and getting another point towards her Polish championship.

Leo (SNOWALLEN THOR DE LUNARTICO SHCM, ASG17, TAN, WPD) also did really well with a 2nd place on day one, and winning the CAC and reserve best male in Poland, and also adding another point towards his polish championship.

The new team member CWNHAPUS TIGERS EYE FOR SHAALI - Tigre the Siberian Husky, owned by Samantha Toomer Shaali Kennels, had a fantastic time with Emma and Shane and received the top grading on both days, and best male puppy in Poland.

2019 – Lunartico take France by storm….

Another successful trip oversea for Lunartico where they attended the Gran Prix de France and the Champion at de France, in Paris.

Galaxy Int/Multi Ch Icewolf Strike a Pose de Lunartico gained another point toward her French Championship by taking the RCAC at the Alaskan Malamute Speciale.

Leo Int/V.Ch Fr Snowallen Thor de Lunartico had an amazing weekend winning Best Veteran in Breed at both shows, taking Best Veteran in Show 3 out of 55 Veterans and gaining a new title of Veteran champion of France!

Emma and Shane are now looking forward to the next trips planned to Poland to finish the championships off there, 2 trips to the Regionals and Nationals Specialities in France, and possible the Dracula show in Romania!

And not forgetting the cats…

Emma says, “We will be having our first litter of Norwegian Forest Cats at the beginning of 2020 with Freyja and Norway – fingers crossed as they are both rather mischievous!”

Boy am I glad I changed to CSJ!

Boy am I glad I changed to CSJ!

Hi Carol (Winfrow)
Here is a brief update on the dog food front:

I moved all 5 Australian Shepherds onto CSJ this summer after most of them had bad reactions to 'another' food they were on.

Badger my 7 yr old had IBS so I was very apprehensive about changing his food but put him on the CP21 to start.  Boy am I glad I did !!  His coat has never been in such good condition and he has actually gained weight. So much so we have had to put him on the Lamb Senior/ Lite. He has been fine on both foods with no tummy upsets.
Cody is my Blue merle boy who actually went a strange 'pinky tinge' when he was on the other food.  He now is back to his 'lavender blue' self and is dripping in coat - he even won Limit Dog at NASA's 1st Championship Show & Reserve Best Dog at Working & Pastoral Breeds Champ Show this November.
All the dogs are fed Lamb & Rice & Lamb Senior/Lite.
Will keep you updated!

Many Thanks
Lydia Brown
